To Varuzhan 89 school and received a gold medal 1969-1974 – studied at Yerevan State University, Faculty of Philology, Department of Armenian Language and Literature In 1985- defended a dissertation on "Psychological analysis of communication" 1978-1986 – worked as a senior laboratory assistant in Armenian National Academy of Sciences, in the Acharyan language institute 1986-1991 – worked as a researcher in the Armenian National Academy of Sciences, in the Acharyan language institute From 1991 to present she is senior researcher at the National Academy of Sciences, in the Acharyan language institute. She taught jointly at Yerevan Institute of Architecture and Construction (1990-1993), Yerevan State University (2002), French University of Yerevan (2003), Yerevan State University (2007-2011 and 2013-2014).

A dictionary of neologisms is currently being compiled in the Lexicography Department. The work of collecting materials continues. The dictionary's word list is being prepared, stable phrases and idioms are being distinguished, and their structural and semantic features are being noted. The head of this department is Anahit Galstyan. In the «Նոր բառեր» [„New Words”], the "C" part contains more than 1440-word units that are not recorded in the dictionaries listed on page 157 of that Part C. After the title, the word type, word explanation, example, source, and also terminological and stylistic notes are given. The explanation of the word is given according to its meaning in the given text. The dictionary was compiled by: A. Galstyan (entries with 400 words), S.A. Galstyan (entries with 500 words), G.K. Hovsepyan (entries with 300 words) and A.G. Sahakyan (entries with 240 words). Anahit Galstyan has great interest in the framework of the scientific works in psycholinguistics, lexicology, terminology, children's language, and native language teaching. She is also interested in the attitude and teaching problems of Armenian as a second foreign language in the French- Armenian community.
