Basic Galician–English–Igbo Dictionary

The basic Galician–English–Igbo dictionary provides English and Igbo equivalents of basic Galician words. Some entries include examples to show usage and the differences between the languages. In addition, cultural information is offered when necessary to explain certain cultural differences related to specific words. The Igbo language comes from the Niger–Congo language family and is spoken in the southeastern part of Nigeria in West Africa. Igbo is the native language of the Igbo people, one of the major ethnic groups in Nigeria.

The dictionary is based on the existing bilingual dictionaries in Galician, English, and Igbo.

This multilingual dictionary aims to introduce the user to basic Igbo vocabulary such as greetings, numbers, parts of the body, common animals, common adjectives, basic motion verbs, days of the week, the different periods of the day, family members, pronouns, or question words.

The dictionary is aimed at Galician speakers who are interested in and curious about other languages and cultures.
