Descrición:

The work has two fundamental objectives. The first is the revision and full classification of the materials contained in the Atlas Lingüístico de la Península Ibérica (ALPI) referring to localities in the Galician (65 localities) and Portuguese (93 localities) linguistic domains, in order to provide a full and profound description of the geolinguistic diversity of rural languages spoken in these areas in the first half of the twentieth century. The second objective is to undertake a comparative analysis of the ALPI data and of the information collected for geolinguistic projects initiated later in the research areas.
