María Álvarez de la Granja

I am a lecturer in the Galician Philology Department of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. I obtained a B.A. degree in Galician Philology in 1994 and was awarded the title of doctor in 2002. I have been at the ILG since then as a member of its Scientific Committee. At present, I am the secretary of the center.

My research is focused on lexicon, lexicography, semantics, and phraseology. Of note in relation to the latter is my publication As locucións verbais galegas (2003). As regards lexicography, I was a member of the project which led to the development of Dicionario de dicionarios do galego medieval (2006), edited by Ernesto González Seoane, of which I am a co-author. I am also a member of the team that is working on the Tesouro do léxico patrimonial galego e portugués, and in 2014 I published the available Galician lexicon, authored jointly with Belén López Meirama. I am currently working in developing a corpus of galician texts written by students, with computerised notation of the non standard forms.
